This center was established in 1967 with title of tuberculosis control center and sanatorium, and since 1986 it was handed over to Guilan University of Medical Sciences and Razi Educational and Treatment Center. Razi Hospital is the largest hospital in Guilan province in terms of size, which provides the most diverse general, poisoning, internal, surgical (general and thoracic), specialized and sub-specialized services to its patients by the most academic staff members. This educational and treatment center is the only hospital with 6 approved research centers, which currently includes 18 inpatient departments, including 3 operating rooms (general and thoracic-urology and vascular angiography) and 10 outpatient units along with administrative buildings. The complex has 296 active hospital beds. Razi Hospital is a provider of government services of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, stone crusher and subspecialty services of digestion, lungs, blood, glands and rheumatism in the province. Also, this hospital has elite specialists to perform transplant surgery in Guilan province, which can only be done in this center at the moment. The green area of ​​the center is 8372 square meters and 4000 square meters is its parking area.
