
The National Drowning Registry Program in Iran is managed by the Trauma Institute of Guilan University of Medical Sciences. Led by Dr. Ali Davoudi-Kiakalayeh, a distinguished social medicine specialist and faculty member at GUMS, this initiative aims to collect and analyze vital data on drowning incidents nationwide. This program plays a crucial role in improving public health and safety by providing accurate data and supporting research efforts in drowning prevention and trauma care.

Dr. Ali Davoudi-Kiakalayeh is a faculty member of Guilan University of Medical Sciences, Iran. Graduated from Karolinska Institutet with a PhD, he is currently researching non-communicable diseases, COVID-19, and a drowning prevention program in the Caspian Sea.
