Iranian Researcher Receives Coveted Kuwait Foundation Award for Groundbreaking Contributions to Non-Communicable Disease Prevention

The prestigious Kuwait Foundation Award for 2022 has been bestowed upon an Iranian individual for their exceptional contributions to the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, particularly cardiovascular ailments, within the Eastern Mediterranean region. Each year, this award recognizes the most influential figure in the field, following a comprehensive evaluation of researchers' accomplishments. The Kuwait Foundation generously funds this esteemed accolade. Amongst 22 participating countries, an Iranian recipient was chosen for this year's honor, signifying a momentous achievement for the scientific community of Iran. Regrettably, due to visa-related delays, Dr. Ostovar was unable to attend the ceremony, and instead, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Niknam, the Special Assistant to the Minister and Director General of International Cooperation, accepted the award on his behalf.
