According to a report from WEBDA, on the evening of November 1st, 2023, a rally in support of the oppressed people of Palestine was held by Dr. Tahereh Zahid Sefat, Adviser of University Women's Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Janati, Member of the University Faculty, Dr. Shadman Reza Masuleh, Head of the Basij Sisters Unit of Guilan Province Medical Society, and a group of staff from Guilan University of Medical Sciences.

During the event, Dr. Ashraf Janati, the keynote speaker, strongly condemned the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people. He emphasized that the Jewish people have been both open and covert adversaries since the time of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and highlighted their role in the early battles of Islam.

Dr. Janati further addressed the 70-year-long atrocities committed by the Zionist regime and acknowledged the Palestinians' ongoing struggle against them. He described Israel as a usurping and illegitimate regime, echoing the sentiments of Imam Khomeini, who referred to Israel as a cancerous tumor that must be eradicated. Dr. Janati emphasized the plight of the imprisoned and besieged people of Gaza, expressing their desire to break free from their confines with empty hands.

He concluded by emphasizing the importance of raising global awareness about the oppression faced by the Palestinian people. Dr. Janati called for the production and translation of content in various languages to effectively convey the voice of the oppressed Palestinians to the world.
