According to a Public Relations report from the International Affairs Management of Guilan University of Medical Sciences, the 26th Association of the Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region States has begun in Astrakhan, Russia. The event is attended by universities and higher education centers from Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.

Dr. Iman Alizadeh, Director of International Affairs of Guilan University of Medical Sciences, is participating in the event. From Iran, the President of Guilan University and the Director of International Affairs of the university, as well as the presidents of Imam Khomeini (RA) Qazvin University, Golestan University, and Mazandaran University, are also in attendance. Additionally, Mehdi Akochkian, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is present at this scientific forum.

The forum aims to create a platform for enhanced scientific and academic interactions between member universities of the association and other universities around the world. This interaction is expected to contribute to raising scientific standards and establishing new educational processes.

It should be noted that the Association of the Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region States consists of 57 members, including 12 universities, 2 science and technology parks, and 13 research centers from Iran, 7 universities from Azerbaijan, 11 universities and 5 research institutes from the Russian Federation (including Dagestan and Kalmyk), 4 universities and 2 research institutes from Kazakhstan, and a university from Turkmenistan. The event is being held from October 9 to 12 (October 18 to 21) in Astrakhan, Russia.
