Our History

The Cardiovascular Diseases Research Center of Guilan University of Medical Sciences was established in 2014 with the aim of expanding research, development, and application of human knowledge in the field of cardiovascular diseases under the chairmanship of Prof. Arsalan Salari in Dr. Heshmat Hospital in Rasht. The center conducts research related to interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases, as well as training researchers in clinical research.

 Vision & Mission

The mission of the Cardiovascular Disease Research Center is to have the ability to produce and develop intervention plans and policies based on scientific and empirical evidence to improve the provision of services in the field of interventions related to cardiovascular diseases by 2027. The center has also planned to become a reference for valid provincial information and statistical and epidemiological analyzes such as determining the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors.

 Overall goal

-G4: To improve the research infrastructure of the Cardiovascular Disease Research Center

-G5. To teach, train and support the investigators with diverse backgrounds in basic sciences and in clinical practice and investigation cooperating in the Cardiovascular Diseases Research Center
