According to the Public Relations report of the International Affairs of Guilan University of Medical Sciences (GUMS), a joint meeting was held on the sidelines of the 26th Association of the Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region States. The meeting included the participation of the Director of International Affairs of GUMS, the President and Director of International Cooperation of Guilan University, along with a group of officials from Astrakhan State University.

Key topics discussed during the meeting included scientific and research exchanges, the implementation of joint research activities, the exchange of research data, and access to scientific centers and research laboratories by both parties. Additional areas of collaboration, such as the joint publication of academic articles, reports, and other research outputs by faculty members, as well as the exchange of students and professors, were also emphasized.

The 26th Association of the Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region States is being held from October 9 to 12 (October 18 to 21) in Astrakhan, Russia, with participation from universities and research centers across Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan.
